TAKE A JOURNEY BACK IN TIME
Franschhoek Motor Museum offers a special opportunity to look back at more than 100 years of motoring history with its unique and exciting collection of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and memorabilia in the magnificent setting of L’Ormarins. Situated in the picturesque Franschhoek Wine Valley, visitors can expect the finest wines, beautiful surroundings, warm hospitality and an incredible collection of classic cars in mint condition.
FROM VINTAGE TO THE FUTURE
Across the length and breadth of Southern Africa, only one place adequately portrays the evolution of the automobile – the Franschhoek Motor Museum. The museum’s collection exceeds 220 vehicles – ranging from an 1898 Beeston motor tricycle to a 2010 Ferrari 599 GTO supercar. More than 80 exciting exhibits are on view at any one time, displayed in four de-humidified halls with a total floor space area of 2,700m². The displays are presented in chronological order.
Franschhoek Motor Museum also hosts special exhibitions, like the futuristic-looking Pagani Huayra on its recent world tour. The Pagani was joined by two of the museum’s prized hypercars, the McLaren F1 and Ferrari Enzo.
L’Ormarins is the home of Anthonij Rupert Wines. The estate offers a full day of entertainment for the whole family and children of all ages are welcome. Following a tour of the museum, visitors can enjoy a light lunch and delicious milkshakes at the deli.
